Kava has many different types of effects you will notice when you are drinking it. One thing you will find is how it will curve your appetite. This is a natural reaction that occurs when you drink kava. It is the kavalactones that interact with the hypothalamus that causes appetite suppression.

As we have discovered, kava is typically known for its calming effects and euphoria. The key ingredients that are responsible for these effects are the kavalactones. Since kava can curve your appetite, three tips to ensure a healthy parameter are staying hydrated, keeping a consistent diet, and avoiding drinking kava on an empty stomach will keep you within a healthy parameter.

As avid kava drinkers, all of us here at Kava-Bula can attest to how kava affects appetite. I have actually seen some of my colleagues lose a substantial amount of weight because of it. This can be another excellent perk to drinking kava if you are trying to lose weight.

Now you have to remember that kava is by no means a dietary supplement but it can help you reach a goal of losing weight along with a healthy diet and exercise. As I have mentioned in previous articles having balance in life is the key to success. This applies to having a healthy rhythm if you are intending on using kava as a weight loss solution.

So let’s take a closer look at these three tips I mentioned earlier to keep things in a healthy momentum with how kava can curve your appetite.

Tip 1: Staying Hydrated

It is known that drinking kava can dehydrate you. It is important to remember to drink water to stay hydrated and regulate your metabolism. This is important for a couple of reasons. Since kava can suppress your appetite, drinking water aids in boosting your metabolism which helps regulate healthy digestion.

A significant reason to stay hydrated when drinking kava is that kava can be hard on your liver. Kava has many benefits from improving cognitive performance, to relieving anxiety however, it is easy to oversee and forget that there are some negative side effects if ignored.

I would encourage you to set a healthy parameter when drinking kava. Doing so ensures that we can enjoy the beverage and its many benefits without causing any kind of health risk. With that being said, just remember to stay hydrated when you drink kava.

Whether or not your aim is to lose weight by drinking kava, staying hydrated is always a necessity for a healthy rhythm. It is easy for anyone to forget to drink water, so I like to carry around a hydro flask or water canteen as a constant reminder to stay on top of drinking water.

Consistency is key so now that we know the importance of staying hydrated let’s move on to the next tip.

Tip 2: Keeping a Consistent Diet

A consistent diet is important. Although kava is great and fulfilling, man cannot live off of kava alone. I suggest carrying on-the-go snacks with you. This is a great option because it helps regulate your metabolism throughout the day.

A healthy metabolism only enhances your kava drinking experience. For instance, one hobby I enjoy when I drink kava is actually cooking. Knowing that kava improves cognitive function, I find that it enables more creativity when I am exploring a new recipe.

Since I like to meal prep for the week, I am always looking to create something new, tasty, and healthy. This helps me have a consistent diet throughout my week. Since I drink kava throughout the week, I find that meal prepping is one of the best ways to keep consistency with what and how I eat.

Keeping a balance with what I eat definitely keeps me on track with my diet even though I definitely will feel as though a suppressed appetite from drinking kava. This is especially important for me because I am actually trying to gain weight. I highly suggest the same to you if you have a goal to make some gains.

Knowing that kava suppresses appetite, it also can make you feel full at the same time. This brings us to our last tip for staying in healthy parameters even though kava will curve your appetite.

Tip 3: Avoid Drinking Kava On an Empty Stomach

Drinking kava on empty stomach will affect you differently. Although it is not suggested, you may feel more intense. The subject is slightly debatable because certain foods will actually intensify your experience, while others will dampen the effects.

There are pros and cons to drinking kava on an empty stomach just as there are pros and cons to drinking on a full stomach. The reason why it is important to avoid drinking kava on an empty stomach. Appetite suppression can trick your mind into thinking you are actually full even when on an empty stomach.

Kavalactones will respond quicker when on an empty stomach but won’t last as long as they would if you had something substantial in your stomach. This is why I would recommend having a little snack prior to drinking kava.

Eating something small like some nuts or tropical fruits are complementary with kava. Pineapple, kiwi, and papaya will actually offset the taste of kava. It’s often that kava bars will serve a wedge of pineapple with a shell which I personally enjoy. I would also recommend strawberries and blueberries as they are filled with antioxidants, fiber, and protein.

I highly recommend fruit simply because they are fresh, delicious, and have good nutritional value. Fruits contain natural sugars that help regulate your metabolism versus adding sugary syrups to your kava. Just keep in mind the quantity of what you eat should be small.

Smaller quantities of snacking ensure you will have something substantial in your stomach yet not too much to that would disrupt the effects of kava. Remember, balance is key to everything in life. This goes with Kava as well.

Conclusion

Well, there you have it, 3 tips to keep in mind to ensure a healthy parameter knowing that kava will curve your appetite. Whether your goal is to lose weight or not, just keep in mind to do so in a healthy manner.

The team here at Kava-Bula keeps these factors in mind so we can have a good balance when drinking kava to ensure we ourselves eat healthy, properly, and consistently when we are drinking kava.
